Meet Our Donors: Steve (’84) and Carolyn Conforti

Dave Kerslake (‘14) gained much-needed balance in his life after receiving the Stephen and Carolyn Conforti Endowed Scholarship in Accounting at Washington State University.

His financial responsibilities became more manageable and the burden was eased on his family in supporting his college career. “I am now able to attain a master’s degree from WSU with very minimal financial impact in comparison to other universities’ programs,” Dave says.

Meet Our Donors: Colin White (’03)

As a senior in high school, Colin was set to walk onto the University of Alabama football team. In a few short months, this all changed. Some may call it fate, others a stroke of luck for WSU. But ultimately, the Cougs ended up with Colin in a WSU jersey. While football was a huge part of Colin’s experience at WSU, it was definitely not the only extracurricular activity he was involved in. Meet Our Donors: Lisa Tanaka (‘03)

Having an older sister who was a WSU graduate, Lisa knew she was destined to experience life as a Coug. Pullman being a true college town is what made her time special at WSU. WSU was able to give Lisa the exposure and opportunity of a large school but also the close-knit family feel of a smaller school. Currently working in the research field as a research director, Lisa felt it was only right to give back by creating a scholarship within the College of Business that focused on those interested in market research.
