Washington State University deeply values its supporters and has a number of ways to recognize your generous cumulative contributions.

Heritage Society

In 2009, the WSU Foundation created a new donor recognition level to honor those individuals whose cumulative contributions total between $50,000 and $99,999. The generosity of WSU’s Heritage Society members represents an powerful commitment to advance Washington State University.

  • Presented with a token of appreciation mailed with a special recognition letter from WSUF CEO
  • Invited to WSU Foundation Annual Recognition Gala

The Benefactors of Washington State University

The Benefactors of Washington State University have been instrumental in shaping the University’s past, present, and future through their generous cumulative contributions of $100,000 – $999,999 to support the academic, research, and service mission of Washington State University. WSU and the WSU Foundation honors the generosity of our Benefactors in three recognition levels.

Benefactors ($100,000 – $249,999)

  • Presented with a commemorative framed certificate
  • Invited to Celebration of Philanthropy, virtual event with WSU President and WSU Foundation CEO
  • Receive a bottle of sparkling wine and a pair of commemorative Champagne flutes
  • Invited to WSU Foundation Annual Recognition Gala
  • Name listed in the Gala program

Silver Benefactors ($250,000 – $499,999)

  • Presented with a commemorative framed certificate
  • Invited to Celebration of Philanthropy virtual event with WSU President and WSU Foundation CEO
  • Receive a bottle of sparkling wine and a pair of Champagne flutes
  • Invited to WSU Foundation Annual Recognition Gala
  • Name listed in the Gala program

Crimson Benefactors ($500,000 – $999,999)

  • Presented with a commemorative framed certificate and a commemorative etched Cougar Pride statue plate
  • Invited to WSU Foundation Annual Recognition Gala with two complimentary seats
  • Recognized at the Gala with a short presentation
  • Short profile and photo published in Gala program

The Laureates of Washington State University

Since 1979, a special group of individuals and organizations has profoundly influenced Washington State University–inspiring visionary faculty, contributing the a world-class student experience, and supporting programs and scholarship that give WSU global recognition.

The Laureates of Washington State University—contributors of $1 million or more—create a legacy of excellence through their investments. WSU’s success—past, present, and future—is a testament to their spirit and vision. WSU and the WSU Foundation honors the generosity of our Laureates in three recognition levels:

Laureate $1,000,000 – $4,999,999

  • Presented with a bookend award, a commemorative etched Cougar Pride statue plate, and a Laureate pin
  • Invited to WSU Foundation Annual Recognition Gala with two complimentary seats
  • Recognized at the Gala with a short presentation
  • Short profile and photo published in Gala program

Crimson Laureate $5,000,000 – $9,999,999

  • Presented with a bookend award, a commemorative etched Cougar Pride statue plate, and a Laureate pin

  • Publicly recognized at the Gala with a short presentation

Platinum Laureate $10,000,000 +

Diamond Donors

An esteemed group recognized by the WSU Foundation since 2007, Diamond Donors have made annual contributions to Washington State University for 50 years or more. We honor these remarkable individuals for their lifetime of service and meaningful commitment to support Washington State University’s mission.
