Given the COVID 19 outbreak, upon advice of local and state authorities, as well as the university advisory group’s advice regarding vulnerable populations and large gatherings of people; we have made the difficult decision to cancel next week’s event on March 11th. While we very much all wished to give the Smiths a send-off fitting of their indelible legacy post-retirement in the past 20 years in Seattle, we do not want to put anyone’s health at risk. We thank you for the outpouring of support for the Smiths.

Margaret will still be compiling the ones we have received in order to present them to the Smiths in a different format.
