CougsGive Ambassador Toolkit

CougsGive is our annual one-day fundraising event dedicated to expanding, sharing, and celebrating the impact of donor support at Washington State University. As an ambassador, your role is to connect with your family, friends, and fellow Cougs and ask them to get involved with #CougsGive by making a gift to their favorite area at WSU.

Since its inauguration in 2015, our Cougar Ambassadors have created thousands of social media posts, likes, comments, and shares, which have helped lead to more than 6,000 gifts and $3.5 million in donations supporting WSU’s land-grant mission. Our Cougar Ambassadors have personally referred more than 2,000 gifts and more than $400,000.

In 2025, our Cougar Ambassadors worked together to help us meet an incredible milestone – raising more than $1 million during #CougsGive for the first time. Because of you, Cougs from across the country shared their favorite memories and stories with each other to celebrate the impact WSU made on them. In turn, you made an impact on us. We wouldn’t be WSU without ‘U’ – thank you.

Join your fellow Cougs as an Ambassador this year to continue making an impact by sharing your WSU story and asking your connections to get involved! Sign up on the #CougsGive Ambassador page to get a custom link that tracks how many gifts you inspire during #CougsGive. Throughout the day, the #CougsGive team will email you with social media prompts, status updates on matches and challenges, and announcements on which ambassadors are at the top of the leaderboards.
