Facilities & Capital Projects
Support for capital projects and facility maintenance is essential for the preservation and advancement of Washington State University’s built environment and campus assets. Historic facilities are modernized to adapt to the changing needs of a thriving campus community. New buildings are bellwethers for growth and momentum, equipping our campuses for the teaching, discoveries, and services WSU will lead in the future. Through public/private partnerships and investment, WSU will be prepared to honor its beautiful architectural traditions while adapting to its ever-changing needs.
Recent examples of construction benefiting WSU are abundant. On WSU’s Tri-Cities campus, the Ste. Michelle Wine Estates Wine Science Center provides a world-leading teaching and research facility to support the region’s booming wine industry. In Spokane, the Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences Building provides state-of-the art medical education classrooms and laboratories. In Pullman, the PACCAR Clean Technology Building and the Paul G. Allen Center for Global Animal Health are home to some of the most advanced research on campus, while the recent expansion of Martin Stadium and the construction of the Football Operations Building enhance the campus experience for the entire WSU community.
