The great part about being a Coug is being in the extended Cougar family—one that provides a lifetime of friendships and support. For Beverly Dalstone Smith (’58 Psych.), these relationships are fundamental to success, life, and knowing how she wants to establish her legacy at Washington State University.

“Even before my husband passed away it was important to us to make sure our estate plan reflects our priorities. I knew we couldn’t give to every organization out there, so I went with my heart and decided to bequeath most of my estate to WSU—to what really means most to me.”

Finalizing her estate plan now not only allows Beverly to formalize where her money will go and how it will be used within the University, it also gives her the joy of knowing the significant impact her commitment—valued at more than $4.5 million—will have on WSU, its students, and programs.
