Washington State University and the Washington State University Foundation appreciates the support of every one of the 61,604 individuals and organizations that supported excellence at Washington State University in fiscal year 2006-2007.
The impact of private giving cannot be overestimated. Every dollar truly makes a difference for teaching, research, and scholarship. The outstanding educational experience that is Washington State University's hallmark would not be possible without the generosity of extraordinary friends and alumni whose giving reflects their passion for WSU and their recognition of the positive impact this great University has on individuals and the state, nation, and world.
The WSU Foundation received $80,208,976 in private gifts, grants, and pledges during fiscal year 2007, which ended June 30. An additional $11,840,000 in revocable commitments was recorded by the WSU Foundation during this period, bringing the total fund-raising activity for the WSU Foundation to $92,048,976 during FY 2007.
For the sixth straight year, the WSU President's Associates - individuals and organizations contributing $1,000 or more annually - set a participation record with more than 5,641 members. President's Associates accounted for $31,185,278 in commitments in FY 2007.
The all-alumni gift participation rate also increased
from 16.3
percent in FY 2006 to more than 19.7 percent in FY 2007.
The generous contributions from each and every one of our donors and the leadership of our dedicated volunteers directly impact our University in countless ways. WSU's ability to provide a quality undergraduate experience and to enable cutting-edge research at a public land-grant research institution is inextricably linked to the support of our generous donors.
