The Philanthropy at Washington State University (PAWS) Program provides students with a meaningful way to get involved at WSU. PAWS strives to educate the students of WSU about the powerful impact on private donations at WSU. Members of the PAWS Program spread the spirit of philanthropy at Washington State while having a direct impact on the advancement on our amazing university. GO COUGS!
"To provide real world experience for students, promote awareness of philanthropy at Washington State University, demonstrate the importance and tradition of private donations among the Washington State University family, and to create a larger and more philanthropic-minded community of future donors."
The Washington State University PAWS Program is the peer to peer organization that works to educate students on the importance of philanthropy at WSU. Philanthropy at WSU includes the tremendous impact private donations and the WSU Foundation has on students. The PAWS Program and its council will be dedicated to spreading the philanthropic spirit around campus. We will be participating in and hosting events to accomplish our goal of sharing information about philanthropy. This program will be run within the Annual and Special Gifts, Stewardship and Special Events Department at the WSU Foundation.
- Educate students on the importance of alumni support
- Create a relationship between all WSU students and the WSU Foundation
- Allow the students involved to acquire valuable leadership skills
- Spread the spirit of philanthropy across WSU
PAWS participated in all Alive! sessions this past summer to promote involvement and philanthropy among our newest Cougs!
PAWS held a donor thank you event at the CUB, where students signed thank you cards.
PAWS will be creating a fun event for our Cougs and their moms to enjoy. It will be an opportunity for the students to share the spirit of philanthropy with their moms and show her how Cougs do it!
